Back in June Grubb said the Metroid Prime Remaster would release in time for the series’ 20th anniversary, but this actually isn’t the first time we’ve heard of the game. There’s even a Reddit thread going over the things he’s predicted accurately. While that obviously didn’t happen, Grubb does have a history of at least some accurate information. As of 2022, the game is still in development. Kensuke Tanabe, who worked on the first Prime games, returned as a producer. In early 2019, development restarted under Retro Studios, developer of the previous Metroid Prime games. The title was announced during an online showcase at E3 2017, and was reportedly initially developed by Bandai Namco Studios. Metroid Prime 4 is an upcoming video game developed by Retro Studios and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch.
